Happy Anniversary To Me
Today marks the three-year anniversary of my employment at CollegeHumor. To celebrate this monumentous occassion, the whole company got Friday and Monday off. Way to go, me! Here is the earliest picture of my working life (L-R, Jeff Rubin, Josh Abramson, Zach Klein and me), taken two days after I started, May 27th, 2005 by Jakob. Including the four partners, that day the entire company...
Here is a video for Colbie Caillat’s cover of “Kiss the Girl,” from The Little Mermaid. Why am I posting this video to my blog? Because my dog, Charlie, has a big role at the very end, licking Colbie’s face and generally being cute. My dog has now licked more famous people than I have. Thanks for hooking that up, Jilian!
Going A'Cabin-ing
I’m very excited for this weekend. I’ve rented a little cabin in the Berkshires with no Internet and no TV so I can catch up on some murdering writing. Basically, I have trouble murdering focusing in New York for various reasons and wanted to give the ‘get away from it all’ method a shot. I’ve never tried this before but it’s worked for much better writers...
BTW, I was excited to see the Phantom flex some of his vocal might when he harmonized with the yoga class. The Phantom always thought he had great pitch.

Amir and I wrote/illustrated this together and it did really well one Digg, racking up over 3,000 diggs. While the casual Digger seems to like it, the hardcore ones - as usual - hate it. This is my favorite comment from digger CMUWriter: “I wish Streeter was on about the 80th floor of the WTC on 9/11.”
joshruben: samreich: Anti-Drug Dog is an unprecedentedly popular CHTV video written, directed, and voiced by me, with the uber-talented Aubrey Plaza. Digg it. This original is brilliant. Lee had to remind me that I did the voice of the cat - I recorded it so long ago. Proud to be part of it! Sam saying, “It’s so hard growing tits” is one of my favorite CHTV soundbytes so...
Go Read This: Bill Bryson's "Made In America"
My favorite writer of all time is a man named BIll Bryson. His two most popular books, at least among people I know, are “A Walk in the Woods” and, “A Short History of Nearly Everything.” I’ve only read one Bryson book I disliked - I found “The Lost Continent” extremely, and uncharacteristically, negative - and I thought I had exhausted the catalog when...
a/s/l?
I’m hosting a chat on WashingtonPost.com tomorrow and I’m really excited. I did a WashPo (yes, I’m calling it that) chat back in August and it was a lot of fun. This time the topic is ‘Advice for Graduates’ so please, if you have a question you’d like me to sarcastically and evasively “answer” please submit it Here. And check in tomorrow...
Needed: Cabin
I’m looking to go away from May 16 - 18 to do some writing. I’d like to get a cabin somewhere close to New York. Preferably I’d like a place with Internet access but it’s not essential. I’d also like to not spend a ton of money. Does anyone have any recommendations? I know I can look around online and find a place but I’d rather go somewhere recommended by...
sarahschneider: jeffrubinjeffrubin: CollegeHumor All Nighter is underway. Tune in and watch our progress all night at www.collegehumor.com/allnighter. It’s almost 7am. I haven’t pulled an all-nighter in almost three years, and I’m starting to ache a little. But damn is this collection of videos impressive. 10 comedy videos in 12 hours. Quite a feat if I do say so myself
