Here’s something interesting. My grandfather has the world’s largest collection of wooden coat hangers with writing on them.
Seriously.
He has collected over 1,000 different “artifacts,” all donated, and publishes a semi-annual newsletter about his collection. He even sent me on a mission while I lived in London to meet this man, the coat hanger king of England, who gave me a bunch of hangers to bring home to grandpa (and led to a very confused line of questioning at customs).
Anyway, my dad and his twin brother decided to give their dad something very special last year and have spent a massive amount of time crafting this: the (probably) largest wooden coat hanger in the world (with the help of a great carpenter named Tom). Here is the family, proudly posed in front of what will certainly be the most viciously fought-over item in the will.
